Abstract
Regional anesthesia has some benefits than general anesthesia. However, awakening during surgery can make patients feel uncomfortable. Sedation is required to promote patients comfort and to avoid painful emotional and physical stimuli during surgery. Propofol, midazolam and remifentanil is the most common drugs administered for sedation. Prolonged sedation can be a problem and it is necessary to find the cause for solving the problem. In this report, we present a case of prolonged sedation in regional anesthesia (interscalene block) with midazolam, midazolam, propofol and lidocaine.
